TRANS/ DISCIPLINARY DESIGN STRATEGIST
I am a cybernetic designer who aims to articulate possibilities and rejuvenate minds——one who tries to be, in the words of Buckminster Fuller, a "synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist and evolutionary strategist,"——bla, bla, bla, but all this without false universalism. Rigor consists precisely in not having a method. I am a flexible generalist who looks for emergent properties in the system.
Interpretation and action, both past, present, and novel, cannot function without reliance on Fore-structures (the sum of the assumptions in our structure of reality). Generating new Forestructures is the function of foresight/strategic design. Some of them may result in eventual innovation --- genuine innovation is hard! In figure-and-ground terminology, Forestructures are the Ground (new Ground), the rest is Figures.
As pointed out by Yuk Hui, technology is engaging more and more in our thinking processes, in terms of the logical capacities and the operation of machines, where decisions are systematically determined by algorithms instead of relying on the subjective selection of significations. More and more humans also operate by way of these machines.

The aim of strategic design is novelty, i.e. the slowing down of time. "Every man confuses the limits of his own vision for the limits of the world.” What else can we be? How else can we think? "In youth, life opens up like a screen to reveal a movie, and we stare in wonder. In old age, we see the projectionist, the ushers, the gum under the seats, and the sellers of soda and popcorn."
Alchemist and cyberneticist. Think about what isn't in front of you and make right choices no matter how much you may dislike them
